Contrary to one’s belief, being a blogger is actually hard work. How so? In a digital age, an individual can’t help but be overwhelmed by so much data and information on the net. Some people choose to stop and take notice of, while some people just choose to snub posts entirely. There’s always constant competition for the public’s attention and oftentimes, it’s hard to arrive at the desired results. In effect, it’s all about managing one’s expectations and the reality of things in the world of blogging. As of date, blogging has become the latest alternative as a means of income for some lucky individuals.

In this day, ‘nobodies’ can immediately be catapulted as instant celebrities all within a month’s time or even less. As a tip for aspiring bloggers, manage your expectations wisely from your supporters. Many bloggers choose to improve their chances by getting as much interaction from social media as possible. These wise bloggers have found ways on how to get more Followers on Twitter, Facebook, and other social sites to improve their chances on developing their online presence. Some may think that these steps are unnecessary and tedious, but aspiring bloggers will come to find that these are the only ways to survive in this competitive digital age, unless you have a Virtual Assistant.

Most bloggers often than not, choose to maintain more than one social network to actively participate in. Not one, not two, not just three. By posting fresh and interesting aspects on their lives, social networks spread their news far and wide around the globe. The popular choice for most bloggers is Twitter, to constantly interact with their supporters, fans and endorse their products. By slowly attaining celebrity stardom from blogging, this should not be the signal to stop, instead, use this growing status to your advantage by as means on how to get more Followers on Twitter, Facebook and other popularity from other social sites to become even greater than before.

So that’s pretty much the tip. Whether you are a blogger whose niche is in fashion, technology, sports, or all of it entirely, social media is definitely plays as the ‘X factor’ that determines a blogger’s success in the future. So for all aspiring bloggers out there, make sure you don’t discount this factor to your formula for instant success!

Looking to expand your business through internet? Then developing a website is mere a start of the journey. You got to bring it to the eyes of the masses, to your potential customers. The site must have a high rank in search engines and when visited it should be loaded in no time.

Below are few points which will guide you how to achieve these two criteria:

For a site to obtain a better rank:

1. Backlinks- Search engines today mainly focus on link popularity, that is; the site gets a good rank if it has links to popular sites. Further, if you link back to them it can be very effective, which is also called two-way linking system. But the links should not be totally random; it should be within the field you are working in.

2. Avoid duplication- Filling your site with duplicate content can work as a negative point for you, search engines tend to look for fresh content to deliver to their visitors, every time. The ranking of the sites fall significantly which contains plagiarized work.

3. Content is the king- Quality and volume of content will drive your rank. If you have average quality content and cover more or less the same information what dozens of other sites do, you will not attract many links which in turn drops down your rank.

4. Accessibility- Make sure the site is friendly to search engine spiders. To rank well in search engines your site’s content should be in HTML text form. Images, Flash files, Java and other nontext content are virtually invisible to search engine’s crawlers.

5. Meta tags- Nowadays Google generally do not rely on Meta keywords but search engines such as Yahoo and Bing consider this. You can use them as often search engines use Meta keywords as a description to a page; a well written Meta tag has significant results on the number of clicks. But do not spend much time on it.

Speed optimization

Plug-ins – Adding too much plug-ins or gadgets can take down the loading speed of your site. Sort out the important one’s that will increase your productivity and avoid the rest.

Large images- A picture speak a thousand words but placing large image may decreases your loading speed as well, instead of it place thumbnails of them. And avoid images representing words in the content.

Efficient coding- New website platforms like WordPress have clean and efficient coding, which search engines use to navigate the websites. But if you are hosting a web site on your own make sure the coding on the site are clean and crisp before it goes up on net.

Switch to less crowded servers- If you have designed your website for heavy traffic, make sure you pick your servers correctly because that would hold the key. Though you can opt for shared servers if the site is small.

If you have an online business, you should be looking ways to develop traffic from search engines. Setting this as the benchmark, your next step should be to cover up the above mentioned points to optimize your website for better rank and speed.

One of the major goals of webmasters is having a good search engine ranking. To reach that goal, they ensured that they have quality content and social media presence but one of the highest chances in getting a good ranking is to join SEO Advertising Companies.

There are lots of SEO Advertising companies in the virtual world which offers good revenues and offer big help in increasing SEO Ranking and one of these is Link Vehicle. Just like other companies, they connect advertisers with top notch publishers. They also provide static HTML links to the advertisers from the publisher marketplace.

There are three different opportunities on Link Vehicle, being an Advertiser, a Publisher and a Blogger. As an Advertiser, you can choose from the two types of static HTML links that they offer. First is the traditional text-link-ads that are placed on the side bar or template of the publisher websites. Text-Links are sold on a flat monthly rate rather than pay per click or impressions.

The second one is the blog reviews wherein advertisers were allowed to request written reviews from bloggers for their website with links that targets specific keywords on their website. Blog Reviews are a onetime payment for a permanent link.

Publishers can sell Text-links on their website either on the sidebar or templates. An ad needs to be approved by publishers before they can place it on their websites. They will be notified every time an ad is purchased. How to earn money? Link Vehicle gives 50% share of the net revenue of ads placed on their site. But please be aware that there will be times wherein a publisher can get a lower share than expected due to discounts given by the company to some advertisers. Also, they offer lower revenue compared to Google Adsense which give as much as 68% share on the net revenue.

Link Vehicle is also open for bloggers who wants to write reviews for advertisers. They just need to sign up as blogger and send their websites on Link Vehicle marketplace. A notification will be received by bloggers for available reviews from advertisers. Of course there are requirements but in case a blogger doesn’t like the advertiser’s requirements, they can simply reject the job. How to earn money? A blogger can give a price that they want to receive or the company will set a recommended price. There will be a one time payment for every post and is calculated daily. Payments will be received on the 1st of every month.

So for webmasters who are interested to earn an additional income from the web and wants to increase their search engine ranking, you can visit and add Link Vehicle to your list.

Taking in the numbers the company have lost $147,167, not to mention future renewals along with other services the customer into account.

The stats from DailyChanges show that the transfers away from Go Daddy have been increasing all week. Here are the number of domains moving away from Go Daddy this week alone:

Monday (8,800)
Tuesday (13,000)
Wednesday (14,500)
Thursday (15,000)
Friday (21,054)

It’ll be going a tough ride for GoDaddy to win back its customers and right now that’s why I’m seeing sale of .com domains from the registrant for only $5.99, now this will be something to win new customers.

Google have just announced an update to its search algorithm that the internet-giant claims will impact 35-percent of Web searches. The new search algorithm seats on top of the previous “Caffeine” update that aims to deliver more up-to-date and relevant search results, this will includes the breaking news, recent events and hot topics.

Ultimately the new algorithm will highlight the freshness of content. All highly rank old contents may be still popular to be on the top search result, however the new algorithm will weighs this accordingly to bring the fresher content first followed by the old results.

According to TechCrunch report, the algo will look for the latest information. “That means a search for “Apple earnings” won’t (in theory) require you to also type in “Q4 2011″ in order to see the latest information. It will be implied that you meant this latest quarter, without the need for the extra text.”

Caffeine improved indexing speed so you can have search results in almost real-time and “Freshness Update” is the extension of this update. This year Google also rolled out “Panda update” that decreases the rankings of so-called “content farms”, however, critic claims that it just filled the search with low quality results.

At the end, this update means that Google will be flooding the results with fresh results for the claim that newer the content –it’ll bring you the newest information you’ll need. We don’t know the extent of 35-percent impact —-kindly share your experience through the comment below.

Magazine (Advanced Style) – A clean, elegant editorial style layout

Mosaic (Crosby’s Kitchen) – A mosaic mix of different sized images and text

Snapshot (Canelle et Vanille) – An interactive pinboard of your posts

Timeslide (The Bleary-Eyed Father) – A horizontal view of your posts by time period

So basically, if you have more images on your blog Flipcard or Snapshot may perfectly fit your readers who’ll be willing to interactively click through each images and know the story behind that. Classic, Sidebar and Timeslide may be preferable for text-loaded blogs.

Twitter is a great way to build a following for your blog, but it’s a peculiar beast. It’s not like Facebook, where you can just ask someone to be your friend by clicking a button. Twitter requires you to be more aggressive and savvy if you want followers. You can attract a sizable micro-blogging readership without being Ashton Kutcher though. Especially if you’re promoting your blog, Twitter is an unparalleled way to attract attention. Here are some tips for things you can do to build a loyal fan-base for your tweets.

Follow others like you and interact with them. Just like cultivating a blogroll, you’ve got to find others on Twitter that share your interests and follow them. Then, when they post, you can respond to them and get on the radar. If you’re not following hundreds of people and services on Twitter, you’re probably not getting the most out of it. Over 27 million people use Twitter. Get just a couple hundred of them to subscribe to your blog and you’re off and running.

Use #hashtags but don’t overuse them. Hashtags are a fantastic way to get your tweets aggregated into categories where like-minded people will see you. This will increase your chances of being retweeted, which, depending on who’s retweeting you, should expose you to hundreds of new potential followers. Hashtags can also be used to contextualize a link or to simply add a sub-text to your post. It’s okay to not use hashtags, but you should definitely know how to use them. That said, if you overuse hashtags it will make your tweets look like spam, and if you’ve got links and @’s thrown in there too, it can be quite an eye sore.

Don’t go too off topic. If your blog is about mobile phone technology, you’re going to want to keep your tweets focused on subjects within that category. It’s okay to get a little off topic, perhaps reacting to breaking news, a sports game, or a recent movie you liked, but a Tweet about the Galaxy S2 cell phone will make more sense to mobile phone hounds who like your blog than a Tweet about the benefits of a gluten-free diet. You can lose followers very quickly by losing focus and tweeting on random subjects.

These are just a few Twitter tips that can help you to draw more attention to your blog or website. Twitter is an amazing social media tool that, if leveraged correctly, can bolster your traffic and subscription numbers greatly. But you’ve got to treat it like a tool, not a form of undisciplined entertainment. Remember, your blog needs Twitter but Twitter doesn’t need your blog.

Everyone knows that their taste in music is better than the next guy’s. Sites like Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and BlabberMouth have experienced writers who are so wrapped up in the music business themselves that they can’t give an honest opinion. In order to combat the monopolization the music industry has over what we listen to, bloggers have been promoting local musicians and new albums for years now. There are a lot of bad bloggers out there with low quality content and shoddy advice. Here are some ways you can be the Led Zeppelin of music blogging instead of the Phil Collins:

Write Excellent Reviews

The most important feature on your blog should be good reviews. If you are not a good writer to begin with, you might have to struggle for content. There are several stand-by blogging tactics you can use to make up for your lack of rhetorical skills. Make sure to keep your actual information short, concise, and to the point. Use bulleted lists and short paragraphs with headings to keep people interested. Also, be sure to provide links to any content you feel might be too close to its original source.

At the end of the day, people are coming to your site to get your take on a new album or concert review. Make sure to have a well researched and educated opinion. Readers can get facts from anywhere, they are looking to your blog for a new spin on what they already know

Promote Relevant Concerts

A lot of people who want to find out about local concerts do not have a clear and defined source to turn to. It seems like the hipsters who flock the concert venues are psychics about where to go. If you are able to discover where the best local and small national bands are playing, you will create more traffic and become a better authority on music.

Know What You’re Talking About

People can create sounds in a lot of different ways. If you walk into a Guitar Center, you will find hundreds of instruments, amps, and accessories scattered all over the place. After that there is an endless assortment of pro-audio equipment that requires a degree from an engineering school to comprehend. If you write about gear in your blog, do your research and know what your are talking about before publishing content.

Create Spotify Playlists

Music has gotten much more social over the past year. At first, iTunes allowed artists to create Podcasts and have their music streamed and available for purchase in the iTunes store. Today there are sites like Spotify, Rdio, and MOG that allow you to create playlists and stream them for free through Facebook. Keep an updated list of music and make it fit your website’s niche while posting.

There are too many people who want to sound like they know what they’re talking about when it comes to music blogging. These websites are full of those who think the art is more about image and less about actual content. If you provide people with a reason to return to your site, you can guarantee an increase of traffic.

Blogging isn’t always easy and requires blog owners to constantly be creating new and unique content. However, constantly coming up with interesting topics to write about can seem impossible at times, and often leads writers to get stuck in a rut.

When you get stuck in a rut, all your content seems mundane. The topics blur together, there’s no personality behind the writing, and your posts just altogether become boring. So what do you do when you can’t think anything to write about? How to do re-inspire yourself?

Turn to your readers.

A good blog will almost always turn to its readers on occasion to ask for insight and feedback. Readers love to engage with the owner and/ or writers of a blog because it makes them feel as though they are actually valued and their readership is important. Don’t let that feeling go to waste. If you need help coming up with new ideas, ask your readers.

Ask them about which posts are their favorites, what they would like to see more of, and what some of their other favorite blogs are. Not only will you be able to notice trends by reading their responses, but you will be able to better streamline your content to better fit your niche. The responses of your readers will also prompt new ideas for you to write about. Did they really like that introductory post you did on basic home plumbing or jump starting your car? Consider turning it into a article series delving further into the subject matter of interest – or even incorporating video how-tos.

If you want more in depth feedback from your readers, consider incorporating online surveys into your research. Online surveys will allow you to ask more pointed questions to your readers allowing you to get exactly the kind of feedback that you were looking for. Readers will also be more likely to offer blatantly honest responses through anonymous online surveys as well because they won’t be concerned with the backlash of fellow readers.

While writer’s block may be causing your blog’s content to flatline, that doesn’t mean that you will never be able to write an interesting blog post ever again. There are several tricks used to break writer’s block including word searches, flipping through old pictures, and reading old posts. Turning to your readers is simply one way to do so, and it is highly effective. Don’t pull the plug on your blog or reduce your posting simply because your ideas are waning. Ask your readers for inspiration, and you may be posting awesome articles again in no time.
